USE mouse WITH play button in our media section to bear witness to the first trailer for forthcoming point-and-clicker Lost Horizon, a tale of adventuring, intrigue and Nazi dabbling in the occult - what is it with Hitler and supernatural shenanigans? First Wolfenstein, now this? - set in 1936, with the world, as the trailer says, "on the brink of madness". Scary stuff.

"The search for a friend gone missing", as the trailer puts it, suggesting we're in for more of the charmingly, delightfully wonky English of the Secret Files games. Evidently this dovetails with the discovery of a Nazi plot to find what are referred to in the press release as 'occult weapons'. Presumably BJ didn't hide them well enough. Trouble (and the odd head-scratchingly obscure puzzle) will likely ensue.

"Featuring a classic 1930s setting, fascinating locations such as Hong Kong, Tibet and Morocco, as well as an eventful search for one of mankind's greatest secrets, 'Lost Horizon' is sure to hold adventure gamers spellbound," suggests the PR blurb.

With bags of action in the trailer (explosions, storms, plane crashes, fights) it's all looking very old-school Indy to us, and that can only be a good thing. Get ready for the world-unhinging to begin at some point next year.
