If you can't beat 'em, join 'em! At least that seems to be the message from the EA camp as Medal of Honor is ready to breach fresh new ground and like another high profile FPS the story is heading to a modern setting, Afghanistan.
The story involves the Tier One Operator, a military entity which is under the authority of the National Command Authority. They only take on missions which represent the utmost risk, it's best to think of them as an American version of the SAS.
EA have been working closely with the US Special Operations community in an effort to "create the most authentic modern war experience", and events in game will be inspired by real events on the battlefield.

He is a living, breathing, precision instrument of war." explained Greg Goodrich, Executive Producer of Medal of Honor. "We are honoured to have the rare opportunity to work closely with these men to create a game that shares their experience."
"EA has always been an advocate for telling the soldiers' story. The new Medal of Honor follows that tradition. We felt it was important to tell the story of today's war and today's elite soldiers via today's most relevant medium - videogames," said the Vice President of EALA, Sean Decker.
Medal of Honor will be a joint developer project with DICE handling multiplayer and EALA building the single player campaign. It's great to see EA's flagship FPS make a return and we are very intrigued to watch the reveal which will debut during next week's Spike TV awards.
Don't call it a comeback...
