In the final part of our exclusive interview about Diablo 3, Lead Technical Artist Julian Love has pointed out that Blizzard have put no active work into porting the apocalyptic RPG, at least for the time being. In response to the many rumours floating around the internet Mr Love had this to say:

Check out the recently smote wizard."We've identified that this game Diablo 3, of all the games we have, would be easiest to port. But that said we don't have any plans, at this time, to do that."

For our latest Diablo coverage, click here to download PCGZine Issue 34 for free.Console fans have never had the chance to experience Diablo 3 before and it would be interesting to see how the game would perform on a system without a mouse and keyboard as standard. The denial isn't an outright refusal and the more we read it, the more it seems like a PS3 or 360 version is an increasing possibility.

Yippee ki-yay."What we are really trying to do is focus on getting the game out on the PC, that's the platform we are developing on. We just want to get it done and look at that situation later." Explained Mr Love who's probably getting tired of all this console talk.
Even if Blizzard have considered a console version, it seems as though the team isn't currently working on it, and the "no plans" comment certainly seems to push the idea of a console Diablo even further back than we'd all thought.
