The Blood Moon event finally comes to superhero Champions Online tomorrow and to celebrate not just Halloween but also a new power set for healing and support classes named Celestial. The event will run from October 27th to November 10th but the best news of all is that this event will be open to everyone for the grand price of free this coming weekend.

Blood Moon
He's taken the angelic motif a little too far.
Halloween is one of the few events that is supported by the vast majority of MMO's but Champions has enough new content to make it more monumental than other celebrations that occur. You'll see a new villain trying to take over Millennium city and a new PvP survival map which has teams of playings fighting wave after wave of the zombie horde.

It's rare that these events yield anything other than funny hats and pumpkin juice but it's great to see Cryptic offering substantial rewards for gamers commitment and skill.

Blood Moon
One-eyed hypnosis has mixed results.
Even though Champions didn't receive a fantastic reception when it was released there's no reason why you shouldn't jump in and try the game yourself this weekend. There's plenty of super hero fun to be had and the character creator alone is worth taking a spin.
