When Battlefield: Bad Company 2 was announced for the PC platform earlier this year many fans were apprehensive due to the original game's console-only status. However anyone that has been PC gamer for the past decade realised how much DICE have done for the PC platform and had faith that the developer wouldn't just pump out a port.
In a recent interview with us Gordon Van Dyke, Producer of Battlefield: Bad Company 2, explained exactly what PC fans should expect when it's released in March of next year. Just as we suspected there really isn't anything to worry about:
"The gameplay is tweaked overall specifically for PC. Playing with a controller is a lot different from playing with a mouse and keyboard. There are obvious differences in sensitivity inputs and having a laser mouse versus and optical mouse, or an optical mouse versus a ball mouse etc. There are things you need to refine and adjust that are centric for PC gamers, which are the opposite for consoles."

"It isn't about making one version better than the other, but this is what needs to be provided for the PC environment and that's what we are making sure that we do. There are things which are specific to Bad Company where it doesn't matter if it appears on PC or a console."
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 may retain it's console sensibilities with regards to gameplay but in this case that isn't a bad thing, besides we've waited long enough for another Battlefield.
