Weapon customisation has become a staple of any action orientated shooter and it's something EA Montreal has put countless hours into. In a recent interview with Producer Alain Tascan, we asked what the process was behind adding such a comprehensive system and he had this to say:
"We could have had even more! There was one point where wan wanted to morph stuff, but we thought that it took the concept too far. It took some brilliant people to get all these things together, there's between 10,000 and 20,000 different combinations."
Unlike Borderlands the weapons in Army of Two have a completely different feel to one another and differences lie deeper than adding ice or fire damage.

It took a full team but you know, the first one was a step forward and the second one is giving players a lot more."
The customisation doesn't end there for The 40th Day though as Mr Tascan also confirmed that the shooter would utilise the EA Face feature which is usually reserved for sports titles:
"You can also customise your mask online and import it into the game which I think is a first for a shooter. The gun is really your avatar in the game," explained Army of Two's Producer, "depending on the gear you choose your experience will change and it will be different from your friends."
We'll have more for you later today when we'll walk you through the opening level of this refined third person cover shooter.
