Blizzard Entertainment's Michael Ryder has used the launch of StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty to ensure fans of the PC-centric developer that since the merger with Activision in 2007, nothing has really changed within the company.
"Since we had our merger with Activision, it hasn't changed anything at Blizzard," revealed the VP and MD of internal operations to MCV.
"We make the same decisions in the same way we always have, and the relationship with Activision hasn't changed that."
Activision's reputation took a hit when former Infinity Ward staffers, including co-founder Vince Zampella and president Jason West, tried to sue the conglomerate for unpaid royalties.

Thankfully these issues haven't affected Blizzard's creativity and unsurprisingly for an entity making money hand over fist with World of Warcraft, it seems as though Activision let their partner do their own thing.
"For Blizzard, our culture is extremely important. It is actually the basis for how we do what we do. We have a really strong culture that has a number of values that we share with our offices around the world. That culture, those values, binds us together and it defines the way we want to behave."
StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty is the latest release from the well-respected game maker and is currently being adored by PC owners worldwide.
