In fine Valve tradition, Steam’s annual summer sale has begun today in earnest!
Like the last winter promotion, this one hinges on daily deals and achievement-based tickets. However the difference is this time participants will be able to be trade in tickets for premium priced DLC, associated with a load of different titles, in addition to the usual prize draw shenanigans.
The way it’ll work is that every day selected achievements will be announced. Once they are earned players will get one single ticket and when they have three, they’ll be able to claim specific DLC packs without paying a penny.
The twenty-four different prizes on offer range from Goo Gear Snorkels for Portal 2 to the Homefront Fire Sale Map Pack, so there is a real incentive to get playing.

The promotion lasts from today until July 10th and judging from past precedent there should be some almighty deals to be had!
