Do big breasts naturally attract more gamers to any given product? That’s the question posed by this delightful blog care of IGN. Nick Kolan takes a look at the unnaturally proportioned phenomenon which has been part of games ever since graphics were deemed good enough to recreate the female form. We’re sure Nick isn’t alone in thinking that having an overtly flirty companion in any game experience is increasingly becoming a distraction, so why do some many developers tend to create those characters in their games? This is definitely worth a read.

For some reason in the games industry, developers very rarely let you into their world, which is why this video is so charming. ArenaNet, the makers of Guild Wars and , are so passionate about what they’ve done and what they’re doing that you’ll find it incredibly easy to get excited about the forthcoming MMO sequel. Hearing one of the founders discuss why he left Blizzard to start his own company will definitely be surprising to some viewers, but it’s important to see what makes this studio tick in this often frank, occasionally revealing and fun to watch retrospective.

- Why Modern War FPS Games All Look the Same

The modern FPS genre has gotten just as prolific as the World War Two FPS genre in the late ninties/ early noughties, yet despite every publisher rushing to get their own piece of the pie, inevitably they all tend to play the same. The reasons for that distressing trend have been handily put into a chart created by cracked.com. They are a bit cynical we admit, but true nonetheless.
