Can you believe we’ve written four of these Video Specials now? It seems as though game fans are much more likely to watch something now rather than read all about it, but rather than wallow in the decline of good games journalism let’s just watch some really entertaining videos instead!
30 minutes of Deus Ex: Human Revolution –
Who needs a preview when you can watch a video of a chosen game in action, voiced by an insightful but surprisingly bored sounding game director. IGN is hosting a series of videos which faithfully put across the kind of gameplay fans can expect from the long awaited Deus Ex sequel and we have to admit it looks fantastic.
Tim Schafer Pitches a New Video Game –
Even though we have no reason to be interested in Double Fine’s next full retail release based in the Sesame Street universe, this video still made us chuckle. Once Upon a Monster may be aimed squarely at the ‘edutainment’ demographic, but if it has this kind of endearing humour we’re totally on board.
We’ve featured many videos fearting games making their way into the real world, but there has been relatively few that approach the subject the other way around. This stop motion video is not only brilliant, but it’s also an example of just how committed some individuals are to showing appreciation for some of the our hobby’s oldest heroes. This must have taken days to successfully pull off!
The title says it all to be honest. We’ve had people recreating rides from Disney and locales from Star Wars, but this is by far the most obtuse map we’ve seen so far for CS: Source. CS_fawlty_towers remodels the sitcom’s iconic hotel in its entirety and offers some pretty gnarly camping spots. Unfortunately there aren’t any cameos from Basil et al, but at least the show’s theme makes an appearance.
