Tripwire Interactive has announced that Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad has been delayed.
The PC exclusive FPS was originally scheduled to launch at the end of this month, but has instead the release date has been moved to two weeks later.
“We have to announce that the release date for Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad is shifting back two weeks to September 13, 2011. While we understand the fans are clamoring to get their hands on the game, we felt we needed the extra two weeks to get it right and add the extra polish the game (and the players) deserve,” read a post on the developer’s official forum.
Fans have been waiting over five years for a proper sequel to Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45, so an extra fourteen days won’t kill anyone.
Fingers crossed the sequel turns out to be worth the wait…
