PC gamers have gotten used to studios ignoring the potential of their open platform and just porting over releases based on the standard console framework, but many will be pleased to read that the creators of Homefront, Kaos Studios in tandem with Digital Extremes, are giving PC owners extra incentive to get the game on their system, thanks to some exclusive functionality.
The feature most players will be excited about is the ability to record matches when in spectator mode and a dedicated mode facilitating matches against bots on any of the game’s maps.
Obviously the game’s controls will be optimised for mouse and keyboard play and thanks to the precise nature of those controls, players will be able to choose from three different control models for helicopters allowing for extra precision when raining down fire and death on your competitors.
Other new features are confirmed via a blog on the official Homefront website, but in our opinion these are the ones to get excited about.
Homefront will be released for Xbox 360, PC and PlayStation 3 on March 11th.
