BioWare has announced that a Mass Effect spin-off anime film is being developed in conjunction with American animation firm FUNimation.
"Over the last few years, we have revealed different pieces of the Mass Effect world through different media. Extending the story through an anime medium is another amazing opportunity for us," revealed BioWare’s Casey Hudson who will function as the executive producer of the feature length endeavour.
There has bee no word on what plot points the film will entail but seeing as it is being released after Mass Effect 3, which is due before the end of the year, we expect it to be set directly after the Commander Shepherd trilogy.
We’ll have more news on the Mass Effect anime spin-off when we get it.
