Kids BAFTA Nominees

Published on October 24th, 2011

Today the British Academy of Film and Television Arts has shortlisted the games up for two awards in the annual Children’s . Up for best game are the following four nominees:

- Kirby’s Epic Yarn (Wii)
- LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean (Every platform under the sun)
- LittleBigPlanet 2 (PS3)
- Pokemon Black and Pokemon White (DS)

The ‘Big N’ have done rather well themselves with a 50% chance of bagging the prize, although it would be nice for either of the UK outfits, Media Molecule or Traveller’s Tales, to get some overdue recognition.

The Kid’s Choice award is also still up for contention with a voting process that is open to the public.

The winning game needs to be selected out of Angry Birds Rio, Cut the Rope, FIFA 11, Just Dance 2, Kinect Sports, Michael Jackson: The Experience, Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit, Professor Layton and the Lost Future, The Sims 3, and last but not least (honest) Wii Party.

We aren’t exactly sure how anyone is supposed to compare and contrast between the likes of Angry Birds Rio and FIFA 11, but we’ll leave that up to you guys…

Not that we’re recommending you hijack the vote or anything, that would be irresponsible.

Speaking of which you can tell, sorry advise your son, daughter, nephew or niece on which game to vote for by visiting the following link.
