Standalone expansion features new mercenaries, environments, maps and weapons.
Kalypso Media has announced that a new standalone Jagged Alliance game will be released this September.
Titled Jagged Alliance: Crossfire, the expansion won’t require gamers to own Jagged Alliance: Back in Action and will include a new fifteen hour campaign set in another fictional nation, Khanpaa.
Players will need to recruit new mercenaries, kit them out and attempt to liberate the nation from their political tormentors. Sounds a lot like previous Jagged Alliance games, right?
Well, yes but this expansion will include new maps, new weapons, new enemies, new equipment and most importantly new mercenaries. That’s a lot of ‘new’ things to play with, but what we really hope is that Crossfire will sort out some of the previous game’s more unforgivable foibles, like the annoying fixed camera perspective and perplexing AI behaviour.
