In a not so surprising twist, Double Fine Productions has set up a new funding page, via Kickstarter, to bank roll an all new point-and-click adventure headed by Ron Gilbert and Tim Schafer.
The new adventure which comes from the developers which brought you Day of the Tentacle and The Secret of Monkey Island will involve traditional point-and-click tropes, but other than that their new project is still a relative mystery.
Regardless wannabe players can invest to make this project possible with a fifteen dollar investment securing a free copy of the game via Steam.
It’s worth noting that anyone can donate a minimum of $1 but frankly these guys deserve more of your hard earned cash!
Mr Schafer and Mr Gilbert have contributed to some of the best adventure games of all time and if they need to secure some investment before developing a new game in the often neglected adventure genre then so be it!
