Codemasters has announced that a new patch for F1 2011 is scheduled to go live on all platforms today.
The number of fixes and tweaks are too numerous to list, but a smoother framerate for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC platforms is promised.
Additionally online play is set to get a lot more stable with a connectivity rating now added so you can spot which competitors are suffering the most lag and more network bandwidth is now allocated to the “game critical systems”, enabling a less jittery experience.
What caught our eye the most is that several users of this patch are now reporting that the frequency of AI retirements during races has also increased exponentially. We haven’t been able to verify this ourselves and the bug fix list features no mention of retirements, but we have our fingers crossed that reports are accurate.
To see the entire list for yourself simply head to F1 2011′s official forums.
