Following on from the teaser trailer which premiered during the Spike VGAs on Saturday evening, THQ has announced that Darksiders II will launch next summer.
Vigil Games’ sequel stars Death, as he seeks to undo the damage caused by his brother War during the events of the first game. If you still haven’t played the first chapter in this surprisingly decent franchise, you really need to catch up!
From what we’ve seen of the second game in the series, it seems Death is a much more-rounded protagonist than War with better mobility, more exciting weapons and oddly a more likeable personality. Funny we know!
Darksiders II will launch simultaneously on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC next year. Fingers crossed we’ll have more on this sequel soon…
