GAME and Gamestation have netted themselves the Robin DLC pack for Batman: Arkham City as a pre-order exclusive.
The add-on allows Robin to be playable in the game’s combat-centric challenge mode and adds two new maps to fight on: Freight Train Escape and Black Mask Hideout.
This pre-order bonus is in addition to Tesco’s Joker’s Carnival Challenge Map, which clocks in at around four hours, and several suit skins which are tied to other retailers.
Now we understand that Batman: Arkham City is one of the big marquee releases of the year, but this pre-order exclusivity business is getting out of hand.
Warner Bros. has hinted in the past that all this content will be launched post-release as DLC, but it still unfairly gates off certain content from gamers through no fault of their own.
Something which in these days of piracy and trade-ins isn’t a great way to encourage repeat business.
Batman: Arkham City will be released in the UK on October 21st.
