CD Projekt has confirmed that all DLC for The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings will be released for free.
Classically the PC platform has always received free add-on content for its games, but over the past few years that trend has been on the slide with prominent developers such as BioWare and Creative Assembly all asking gamers to pay for more content.
"Let me announce that all our DLCs will be FREE," revealed CD Projekt during a facebook Q&A. "All of them. If anything will be for purchase, those will be expansion packs. First DLC will launch together with the game release."
Additionally CD Projekt also revealed that their gritty RPG sequel will be receiving day one DLC in the guise of a side-quest dubbed Troll Trouble.
The Witcher 2 is scheduled to be released today, exclusively on PC.
