‘The Order’ will be released on the same day as Blizzard’s dungeon crawler sequel.
Do you like video game novels? Oh don’t be like that, this one could be quite good, honest!
Blizzard has announced that tie-in novel Diablo III: The Order will hit bookshelves on May 15th, the same day as the game it’s based upon.
The plot, penned by Nate Kenyon, is set several years before the events of Diablo III and stars returning character Deckard Cain as he seeks to find fellow remnants of the Horadrim order with the help of a five year old girl. Aw bless!
If that brief synopsis tickles your literary fancy, Blizzard has also posted a taster via their official website.
Game novels are incredibly hit and miss, but Kenyon is a talented author and we hope Blizzard have given him enough scope to have fun with Diablo’s hellish premise.
