Valve conclude their legendary short series for Team Fortress 2.
To conclude the recent ‘Pyromania’ event, Valve has finally released the final short for Team Fortress 2, ‘Meet the Pyro’.
In this website’s opinion this is one of the best videos in the series and we strongly urge everyone to check out, regardless if you have a passion for the free-to-play shooter’s lovable arsonist or not.
If you like the look of the above trailer, but think you could do a better job yourself Valve is releasing a special storytelling tool, dubbed the Source Filmmaker, in order to allow you to do exactly that.
“The goal of the SFM was to develop a story telling tool that allowed us to create computer animated movies more efficiently, and with greater creative freedom,” revealed Bay Raitt, designer at Valve.
“Over the past five years, we’ve produced more than 50 animated shorts with the SFM. The Source Filmmaker will allow our community to create their own movies in Team Fortress 2 and in their own Source SDK-created mods.”
The SFM toolset is currently in closed beta, but will be released for free later this year. To find out more information about this exciting new piece of software, check out its official website.
