The Two Cities Update brings new maps, abilities and weapon effects to the Mann vs Machine co-op mode.
Valve has unveiled a significant overhaul for Team Fortress 2‘s celebrated Mann vs Machine four-player co-op mode, via the Two Cities update.
The new content adds three new maps for players to tackle the robotic hordes on (Manhattan, Rottenburg, Snakewater), groovy ethereal effects for killstreaks and most notable of a massive combat boost for the Medic. As long as players have the requisite gear, they will be able to deploy shields which allow friendly shots to penetrate while blocking all enemy fire, revive fellow team members with an assuredly Ghostbusters-inspired brick dubbed the Reanimator and Mad Milk syringes which offer a hit-on-heal effect for teammates.
To get a glimpse of how all this functionality works, check out the recently released cinematic below:
Other notable aspects of this update include a new Rocket Specialist ability for the Soldier, allowing the helmeted one to shoot out stun rockets which travel quicker and can be fired faster than his usual ordinance. To find out more about this update, check out the official Team Fortress 2 website.
As per usual, all of this content is exclusive to the PC version of Team Fortress 2 and has been added to the game for free. Thanks Valve!
