It seems as though Christmas has come early for PC gamers, as the folks at Humble Bundle have somehow managed to twist THQ’s arm into offering Company of Heroes (plus Opposing Fronts and Tales of Valor), Darksiders, Metro 2033 and Red Faction: Armageddon for as little as $1.
That’s effectively six full retail games on PC for 17 cents each, how absolutely bananas is that?!
Obviously you can pay substantially more than that, hell you absolutely should pay more than that, with donations higher than the average (currently $5.37) also bagging Saints Row: The Third – one of the most enjoyable and light-hearted open world games ever created. Oh and if that wasn’t enough, you also get the soundtracks for Saints Row Third, Darksiders, Red Faction: Armageddon and both Company of Heroes expansions for free as well.
See didn’t we tell you this was bonkers! It’s worth noting that these games are being delivered via a one-time use Steam key, with no option for DRM-free options.
Obviously it would be easy to focus on the fact that this ridiculously generous offer is undoubtedly due to THQ’s current financial troubles, but we aren’t going to ruin the mood. Don’t feel guilty about bagging these games at fantastic prices and be sure to donate some extra money to Child’s Play and the American Red Cross while you’re at it.
Today is a good day to be a PC gamer…
