A world without Statesman.
NCsoft has just send word that the Issue 22 update, dubbed ‘Death Incarnate’, has gone live on City of Heroes servers.
The hefty update revamps the Dark Astoria Zone with new story-arcs, badges and visuals, as well as adds a wealth of other new content including additional power-sets for Controllers and Dominators.
The list of improvements in the latest update is absolutely huge and players who have characters across the entire level range should see something to get excited about.
Most importantly of all this is the first update since Paragon Studios decided to kill off City of Heroes’ most celebrated hero, The Statesman, and the trailer below offers up a few more insights into how that development has altered the game’s landscape.
City of Heroes celebrates its nine year anniversary next month and seeing as the superhero MMO has recently gone free-to-play, we expect it to go from strength to strength.
