Reaper of Souls adds new class, level cap, skills, and continues the story of Diablo III.
Blizzard has revealed the first expansion for Diablo III, titled Reaper of Souls.
A release date and price for the new content wasn’t revealed but the expansion will continue the Diablo III storyline by adding the long awaited Act V to the campaign which in turn boasts new environments, monsters and plot developments framed around a new character class; the Crusader.
Here’s the premise:
“The lords of hell rage within the Black Soulstone, their souls screaming for vengeance and release. Before the artifact can be sealed away forever, Malthael–Angel of Death–manifests in the mortal realms with a deadly new purpose: to steal the Black Soulstone and bend its infernal power to his will,”a blurb details on the official Reaper of Souls website.
This new expansion will also raise Diablo III’s existing level cap from sixty to seventy, return the artisan known as The Mystic to the game, tweak and revamp the existing Paragon mode, and add a new multiplayer game type known as Loot Run which sees a team of players tackling a completely randomised 15-20 minute dungeon with environment, loot, enemies and bosses all determined by a dice roll.
