It was released by Bethesda on October 31st, 2008 and has been supported by downloadable content episodes ever since.
After spending your entire childhood living in an underground shelter, you emerge from Vault 101 looking for your father who has disappeared from your former home. Fallout 3 is completely open world, and asks players to find their own path throughout the game's lengthy, main campaign.
Gameplay is combat-heavy with various quests to complete and weapons to collect. The game can also either be played from the third or first person perspective.
