BMW’s 1M Coupé added to Auto Club Revolution for free with new track.
Eutechnyx has added a new component dedicated to BMW in their growing free-to-play racing sim, Auto Club Revolution.
The new add-on dubbed ‘The BMW Experience’ features the 2011 BMW’s 1M Coupé exclusively with videos starring the production car’s creator Frank Isenberg, a new track called ‘Victoria Harbour’ set in and around a dockyard and, a first for any car in Auto Club Revolution, an in-cockpit view showcasing the premium car’s interior.
The car and associated challenges can be played for free, with completion unlocking the BMW 1M Coupé for competitive racing against other cars and players in Auto Club Revolution.
Eutechnyx’s PC-exclusive racer has flown under the radar at this point, despite the game launching its open beta just under a month ago, but this partnership announces the developer’s intent for the service to not only be a home for car enthusiasts but also manufacturers who want to show off their new creations.
We were in Munich for the initiative’s launch earlier this week and it’s clear that this partnership is just the beginning for Eutechnyx who have a history of evangelising car makers and offering gamers great racing experiences. Obviously this is all a marketing exercise to sell more cars and get people excited about the BMW brand but honestly if we get a great free experience out of it we can’t really complain; especially as the car itself is absolutely free.
