Blizzard finally declare a release date for their much-coveted dungeon crawler.
Look out the window today and you’ll not only see gamers celebrating in the street but also a drove of pigs ascending gracefully into the air, as Blizzard has finally confirmed a release date for Diablo III.
We never thought this day would come…
“After many years of hard work by our development team and months of beta testing by hundreds of thousands of dedicated players around the world, we’re now in the homestretch,” said Mike Morhaime, Blizzard CEO and co-founder. “We look forward to putting the final polish on Diablo III over the next two months and delivering the ultimate action-RPG experience to gamers worldwide starting on May 15.”
Players can reserve their digital copy of Diablo III today from Blizzard’s official website for £44.99. There’s also a special collector’s edition available which includes a behind the scenes DVD/Blu-ray, soundtrack CD, 208-page artbook, 4G USB stick containing Diablo II and Diablo II: Lord of Destruction, fancy Diablo Skull and exclusive in-game content; all for £69.99.
Suddenly May has gotten a lot more interesting for PC and Mac owners.
