Stainless Games need your cash!
Remember last year when we told you that the creators of the first two Carmageddons, Stainless Games, had reacquired the license to the racing series that made them a household name? Well, the Isle of Wight’s best, and possibly only developer, are back with a new entry in the franchise dubbed Carmageddon: Reincarnation and they need your help to fund it.
“…Max Damage is back! Carmageddon: Reincarnation is going to reintroduce the gaming world to the original freeform driving sensation, where pedestrians (and cows) equal points and your opponents are a bunch of crazies in a twisted mix of automotive killing machines. It’s the racing game where racing is for wimps,” states the Kickstarter page.
Stainless have a target of $400,000 to meet with $86,922 already raised with 28 days to go. At this rate they should surpass their funding goal with gusto, but any additional money raised will be ploughed into the sequel’s development.
There are several different funding options available ranging from $1 up to $10,000 but the sweet spot is the $25 option which includes early beta access to Reincarnation, a final copy of the game, access to a private forum and other bonuses.
It’s worth noting that Stainless Games made the good Carmageddon games, not the interactive abortion known as TDR 2000 – that particular pleasure goes to Australian developer Torus Games.
If you feel like contributing to one of the greatest and most disgusting racing games ever made making a comeback, please visit the project’s official page. All the cool kids are doing it…
