Introducing Jedi Knight Galaxies -

Most game modifications aim to add a few new maps, some new weapons and perhaps a new storyline but this project for Jedi Knight: Academy is staggering not only in scope but ambition as well. In Jedi Knight Galaxies you'll see new models, new animations, new maps, new music, a brand new plot and even the return of Pazaak! By following the link on the right you'll see the project's shiny new website which includes new videos, screenshot of the week and a very welcome community forum. Some mods disappear while others significantly change the gaming landscape, we have our fingers crossed that Jedi Knight Galaxies is the latter.

Who could believe six months ago that this crime thriller would make its way to European shores, thankfully Sega have seen the light and duly delivered. Not content with just selling us the game though, the mega publisher is also packaging a 31-song soundtrack, an interactive guide to the history of the series and four pieces of DLC all for no extra cost. We wish more companies would give us collector's editions without them asking us to pay a penny more, but more importantly it shows that Sega are really willing to get behind this Eastern-centric title in the West, and that can only be applauded.

Why one Sith isn't enough -

Something for Sunday has featured its fair share of developer diaries in the past, but few are better written or more informative than this blog on the official site of Star Wars: The Old Republic. Ever since BioWare announced that their MMO based on KOTOR would feature two Sith classes instead of just one, fans have wondered whether the MMO will favour the dark side of the force rather than the light. Rebecca Harwick's article gives an enjoyable synopsis of the various Sith forms across the films, spin-off series and games, successfully arguing why Lucas Art's biggest ever game needs two distinct classes for all the Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine wannabes out there. The game's 2011 release date can't come soon enough.
