What bonuses do item sets give you in Dragon Age Origins?

Like many RPGs, Dragon Age gives a bonus for wearing a set of the same make, but how do you know if it's worth it?

I just completed the Juggernaut Armour set in Dragon Age: Origins after wandering around trying to find the last piece for the Mage's Treasure. And, I got a bonus on wearing the whole set, but how do you know what it has done for your character?

Well, it's not obvious, but right click on the Armour either equipped or not and select the Eye icon to examine it. In the last line of the description it will tell you what bonus you get for wearing the whole set, although it's not specific.

In the case of the Juggernaut armour set, you get a bonus to Strength and Constitution. This turned out to be 3 to both stats, so worth having. You also complete the Mage's Treasure Quest by retrieving all the set, so it's worth a bit of XP for completists like myself.

However, the Juggernaut set is one of the best heavy armour sets in Dragon Age.

If you want to find all four pieces, they are in the Brecilian Forest. Three of the locations of the Juggernaut pieces are found by disturbing gravestones. One is just north of talking oak tree, one is to the east of the mad hermit and the last is north through the impassible barrier (if that doesn't make any sense, you need to be doing the Dalish Elf quest about the werewolves).

The last piece is in the ruins themselves that you get to via the piece just mentioned. You need to complete the jug of water in the pool puzzle and go through the door. (Solution to Jug of Water puzzle: Take the jug, fill it up, put it on the altar behind you in the same room, kneel and pray, take a sip, pour the rest back into the pool.)

I never discovered if there was a relationship between weird ghost boy and the ghost through those doors, but it doesn't matter as you want to kill her for the Juggernaut item anyway.
