Eurogamer meets Monty Python -

Interviews about games are usually quite tepid affairs with journalists usually trying to tempt out as much revealing information from the unfortunate interviewee as possible, but this brilliant video from Eurogamer strives against that and involves two of the funniest men alive – Terry Jones and Terry Gilliam. They are promoting some kind of Facebook game but don’t worry about that, just enjoy the Two Terries rapping on how they know nothing about social gaming and are only contributing to this game in order to keep children busy and steal their pocket money.

Activision versus EA: The Lawsuit Diaries -

And now for something completely different. Now we’ve got all that funny business out of the way, Joystiq has got its mits on the recently updated legal documents concerning the ongoing legal action between Activision, EA and Jason West’s and Vince Zampella’s Respawn Entertainment. The devil is in the detail and some of the statements need to be read in their original form to be truly believed. Just try to remember there’s a lot of money riding on this.

CVG appear to be a bunch of lousy hacks -

First off, the title isn’t our words, but those of indie developer extraordinaire Jonathan Blow, who developed Braid. His blog refers to a recent interview which was reported by CVG in which he believes he was misrepresented. The wording of the quote featured in the article was accurate but the context, Blow believes, wasn’t. As we have mentioned before, interviews form the bedrock of news reporting in this industry and the points raised in this protracted rant are very interesting. Definitely worth a read, especially if you care about the sensationalist slant which some websites pursue now and then.
