This week’s Something for Sunday is dedicated to a small indie title named Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Oh wait, did we say small, we meant politely massive and we’ve been absolutely bowled over by the gargatuan RPG that’s sure to steal our lives come its release in November. In the meantime though we have some great video action to keep you entertained this beautiful morning. Let’s take a look:
This video showcasing the Nyan Cat Redeemer for Unreal Tournament 3 is absolutely worth the look because it not only shows how good mod content can be, but also how quick talented guys can get stuff out! Hopefully this’ll inspire Epic to stop with all this Gears of War nonsense and start working on a real multiplayer FPS franchise again.
Game Fails: Just Cause 2 “Stunt crash rejected… please try again” -
GameFails is one of the better game-related YouTube communities out there, and this video is undoubtedly one of the finest showcased on their channel. We could tell you exactly what is involved in this slender clip, but honestly it’s just better if you check it out yourself. Certainly stomach-churning stuff.
In honour of the Tokyo Game Show, which is really only about Nintendo anyway, we’d like to draw your attention to a long yet nonetheless awesome video celebration of Mario, tracking he’s progress over the past thirty years. The eighteen minutes long footage supplemented by a variety of dancified classic Mario tracks only just stays on the right side of annoying for us, but still it’s amazing just how many brilliant games the portly Italian plumber and his buddies have starred in over the years.
Twenty Minutes of Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim –
C’mon you didn’t think that rambling intro was by accident. The star attraction this week is care of Games Radar, who are hosting twenty unadulterated minutes of Skyrim in action and it looks absolutely gorgeous. Game director Todd Howard takes you through all of the details associated with crafting this RPG which is sure to offer hundreds of hours of fun and it’s as enlightening as it is jaw-dropping.
As always if you see anything worthy of a mention in this feature on your internet travels, be sure to send an email to pcgzine@cranberrypublishing.com describing your selection and we’ll give you a shout out to recognise your contribution.
