Answering enough speculation that could even rival Half Life 3 itself, the mod team behind Black Mesa: Source has released eight new screenshots of their long-anticipated remake.
If you’ve been living under a rock since 2005 you might not know that the expansion seeks to remake the original Half Life’s iconic campaign using the altogether shiner Source engine, which has been used for Half Life 2, Left 4 Dead and Portal 2.
The shots were released in celebration of the project’s Facebook page hitting 20,000 likes and they can be seen below:
There’s still no release date for the fan-made mod, but the team have said that today’s update is the first of many before the game is finally made public available.
Hurry up chaps, we’d like you to work on the Opposing Force expansion next! There’s nothing wrong with a bit of healthy optimism now is there?
