Halo 3 Appears in Steam Database

Why would Microsoft bring Halo 3 to PC now? We don't know either, but we still want to see it!

Valve has only recently opened the door for free-to-play games to be added to Steam, so Second Life being available from the service isn’t a massive surprise. La-Muana and Resident Evil: Revelations are also known to be coming to Steam as well.

Previously xPaw’s Steam Database tool has been utilised to discover other unannounced games in development for PC including Brutal Legend and Final Fantasy VII. Nevertheless we would still take this news with a pinch of salt until each respective developer/publisher comes out and confirms whether their title is indeed heading to Steam.

With Halo 2′s multiplayer servers for PC only weeks away from being shut off for good, it seems odd that Microsoft would choose to bring the game to Steam now, not to mention the fact that Microsoft still has its own digital store via Games for Windows Live.

Why the console manufacturer would finally cave in and go the Steam route would be a mystery to us, but then you can buy Microsoft’s last big PC release Fable 3 via Steam so maybe the company is just looking for a quick buck.

Expect more news regarding the legitimacy of Halo 3 arriving on PC over the coming months.
