thechineseroom has submitted their work to Frictional Games though.
The next game in the scary as hell Amnesia series has been delayed until later this year.
A Machine For Pigs is a joint venture between the chineseroom, the developers of Dear Esther, and long time series stalwarts Frictional Games.
“Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs reached a major milestone last week, when thechineseroom sent us their final version of the game, representing over a year’s worth of hard work. But don’t get too excited just yet,” read a post on the game’s official blog.
“Some work is still left to be done. We are testing, tweaking, optimizing, porting, translating and all those things that are part of the process of creating and releasing a game. Currently we are looking at a release around Q2 2013.”
Originally the next chapter in the Amnesia series was set to launch last Halloween but due to the project growing in scope and ambition more polish is required.
Delays are always disappointing, but as long as the quality of Machine for Pigs measures up to the brilliantly distressing Dark Descent, we don’t think too many fans will mind. The video below will give you a taste of what we mean, word of warning though there is some naughty language.
