Epic JRPG White Knight Story is going to be a long time coming - don't expect it before 2009 at the earliest - but from what we've seen we think it'll be very special. Huge in scope and scale, White Knight Story is set to be an epic in every respect. White Knight Story preview for PS3

If there was one genre that ruled the PS2, it was the RPG, and if there were one developer that ruled that genre, it was Level 5. The new game from the creators of PS2 megahits like Dragon Quest IX, Dark Cloud, and Rogue Galaxy, White Knight Story is looking to be an RPG of epic proportions.

How "epic" is epic?
Try boss fights against 2,000 foot tall enemies, an intricate character creation system which allows for incredibly lifelike avatars, and a storyline that's set to have you hooked for 70 hours of JRPG goodness. That the artwork for the game has been compared to Shadow of the Colossus should give you some idea of the sheer scale of things you'll be coming across in the game - think huge turtles with entire cities on their backs, giant airships being towed through the air by huge birds, and, of course, the White Knight of the title, a 1,000 foot giant himself, which the lead character transforms into.
