No, that's not the cumulative length of cutscenes in Metal Gear Solid 1- 4 (although we're sure it's not all that far off ), but rather, the number of years the Metal Gear series has been around for. To celebrate this momentous occasion, Metal Gear head honcho, Hideo Kojima has arranged a number of events to kick start the old hype machine, revealing allnew gameplay aspects of his latest creation... As the lights dimmed, the screen lit up with a scene of total devastation, with Snake perched on a ledge in what we're told is a war torn Middle Eastern town. Helicopters flew overhead, and there were crumbling buildings everywhere you looked – full of perfect hiding places for a Metal Gear game.
