Lair review for PS3
On paper, Lair is the sort of
game of which dreams are
made. From the makers
of excellent GameCube game Star
Wars: Rogue Squadron II, a game
where you get to ride a dragon,
toasting enemy soldiers and
engaging in mid-air scraps with
other fire-breathers, what could
possibly go wrong? Everything,
as it turns out - Lair is an unholy
mess that's become such an
embarrassment for Sony, that it has
sent out a 21-page ‘reviewer's guide'
to presumably assist videogames
journalists in figuring out exactly
what the hell is going on.
The only reasonable place to
start is with the controls. For some
reason, Sony has decided that
the game should use the Sixaxis'
motion-sensing capabilities for movement, with no option to revert
to traditional analogue control.
