Heavenly Sword cost a packet to make, and looks like it was worth every penny - with fully motioncaptured story sequences showing astonishing detail, and the in-game brawling shunting round hundreds of enemies at once. Central to all this is heroine Nariko - a beautiful protagonist who becomes a whirling dervish in battle, casually tossing aside opponents in a maelstrom of kicks, flips and jumps. The fighting may appear show-offish, but it's relatively simple to learn, and more intuitive than many of its genre forebears.
