Fracture preview PS3

Fracture preview PS3

Fracture preview for PS3

Fracture from LucasArts is a world changing game in many ways. Firstly, Fracture is a huge departure from the Star Wars IP that LucasArts usually draws upon, signalling its intention to start creating new IP. Secondly, Fracture's big idea is the ability to re-shape the world around you in game. In Fracture, you can change the walls, even the earth beneath your feet, using your unique arsenal. As you can see from our images this issue, Fracture is shaping up nicely, but we're concerned that the levels in the game don't prove too restrictive. Find out more about Fracture in our first look this issue. Click here to read our Fracture preview for PS3 now! Fracture preview for PS3 From the makers of MechAssault, Fracture is a brand new FPS with one key concept – Terrain Deformation. Put simply, this means that everything, from the walls and floors of a single room, to cliffs and mountains in an enormous valley, can be destroyed and manipulated as you blast your way through the game. While Red Faction made a brave attempt at this on the PS2, Fracture looks to re-write the FPS rulebook, creating a fully deformable, and destructible playing area. So, how do I go about blowing stuff up?
Set in the year 2161, Fracture places you into the shoes of Mason Briggs, a soldier in the Atlantic Alliance, with a rather interesting array of weapons at your disposal. From the Tectonic Grenades, which cause a spike of rock to shoot up from the ground, letting you climb to new places, to Vortex Grenades, which create a giant whirlwind that slowly digs into the ground as it gains momentum, drawing other objects into it, there are hundreds of different ways to cause complete and utter devastation. And we love it. Click here to read the full Fracture preview PS3 now!
