Untold Legends: Dark Kingdom Review - PS3

Dungeon dwellers and dragon hunters will be waiting for a good fantasy game on the PS3 - will Untold Legends: Dark Kingdom hit the spot? It's certainly got potential - the scenario and some of the baddies come with impeccable Dungeons and Dragons pedigree. Features of this RPG include online play and freedom to roam and to come and go as you please within the game's universe. Will it make the most of the next-gen PS3? Find out what we think - download the second issue of P3Zine to read our Untold Legends: Dark Kingdom review for PS3. Click here to read the full Untold Legends: Dark Kingdom review for PS3! Untold Legends: Dark Kingdom Review - PS3
Final Fantasy XII left the PlayStation 2 on an all time high for role-playing adventures, not to mention the brilliant Dragon Quest VIII on PS2 from last year. Anything on PlayStation 3 is going to have to work really hard to convince us that it’s worth buying a next-gen roleplaying game instead of getting to grips with established PS2 classics. The premise of Untold Legends: Dark Kingdom sounds good - it’s a free roaming online adventure, with a Dungeons and Dragons uberauthor setting the scenario and creating the wizards and vampiric enemies. The problem is that this is a road you’ll probably have travelled several times before, perhaps in EverQuest on PS2 or any number of American developed games which dream of competing with the Final Fantasy series.
