Untold Legends: Dark Kingdom Review - PS3
Final Fantasy XII left the
PlayStation 2 on an all
time high for role-playing
adventures, not to mention the
brilliant Dragon Quest VIII on
PS2 from last year. Anything on
PlayStation 3 is going to have to
work really hard to convince us that
it’s worth buying a next-gen roleplaying
game instead of getting to
grips with established PS2 classics.
The premise of Untold Legends:
Dark Kingdom sounds good - it’s a
free roaming online adventure, with
a Dungeons and Dragons uberauthor
setting the scenario and
creating the wizards and vampiric
enemies. The problem is that this is
a road you’ll probably have travelled
several times before, perhaps in
EverQuest on PS2 or any number of
American developed games which
dream of competing with the Final
Fantasy series.
