Bourne Conspiracy preview for the PS3
In the history of movie-to-game
conversions, there have been
few major successes. Almost
unanimously viewed as a tacky cashin,
we can only remember one filmto-
game conversion being any good,
and that's Batman on the Amiga 500.
Oh, and Lego Star Wars doesn't count.
It's lucky then, that The Bourne
Conspiracy isn't actually based on the
film – rather, it's an amalgam of plot
that's one-part book, one-part film,
and one-part original game. Though
you'll be taking in various locales that will be familiar if you've seen the films,
a good portion of the game is based
either on locations from the book, or
are entirely original. We've also been
promised a fair bit of the game will be
filling in plot gaps, as according to the
press release: "Only by playing Robert
Ludlum's The Bourne Conspiracy will
players discover Bourne's true identity
and experience the very moment he
became a malfunctioning weapon."
