Home is... what exactly? Sony has been touting Home as a console selling extravaganza, an experience that would make Xbox Live look old school. So, what exactly is Home? Well, we've got the first shots of Home, and a first look preview to explain what they mean. Basically, imagine Second Life, imagine wandering around a virtual world to meet your mates and pop into a game building for a quick online co-op, then back to your virtual place so they can check out your gaming trophies. That's what Home is supposed to be, and it's set to hit PS3 hard drives early Summer, if you can believe it.

If you've ever played Second Life, you'll feel instantly at... erm... home, in Home. A virtual world that lets you meet up with friends, own your own house, play mini-games to pass the time, or even go to the cinema, Home is one of the most intriguing prospects on the PSN, and its release date's drawing ever nearer.

So, what's new?
Since the last time we reported on Home, a whole bunch of new screens have been released in conjunction with the launch of the official Japanese site, and they show just how well Home has been progressing. But whilst visuals are impressive, it's the functionality that matters, and it's this that's got us most excited.
