Some seven games, 30 million units, and many raided Tombs later, you could be forgiven for thinking Eidos would be feeling pretty happy with how the series is going. Pulling itself from the fiery jaws of oblivion following the dreadful Angel of Darkness, Tomb Raider: Legend was exactly what Lara needed - a return to the mechanics of the original game, that actually involved some, you know, raiding of tombs. But apparently, Eidos weren't entirely pleased, as for Tomb Raider: Underworld, a reinvention is on the cards. Once again taking the series back to its roots, the first true next-gen Tomb Raider will see you exploring environments no human has set foot in for hundreds of years, raiding people's burial chambers all across the globe, and, presumably, ruining a fair few pairs of hotpants as you go.
