GTA IV preview PS3

This is how you imagine it feels in that split second of lucid realisation after you see a grenade swirl to a stop next to your feet, and just before it's ripped apart by a limb-wrenching explosion... What promises to be the best Grand Theft Auto yet is almost upon us and our eyes are wide, our breathing's heavy and we've just about got a handle on the enormity and slavish detail of GTA IV. The big bang is imminent, all hell's about to break loose and then Rockstar go and pull a trademark masterstroke... by making us laugh. How the hell are we supposed to wax lyrical about the latest AI revelations, gameplay hints and vehicle unveilings when we're choking back a guffaw? How? We'll tell you how...

To coincide with the debut of the new GTA website, Rockstar has leaked out five videos showcasing the pitch black sense of humour that's become synonymous with the series. But this being Rockstar, each video is a conceptual cameo, a comedy signpost to the mouthwatering gameplay and immersive atmosphere we're expecting from the most ambitious free-roaming shooter yet.

If you were expecting to see a full level played out by a dull as ditchwater developer, forget it. Rockstar simply don't do dull developers, or dull games. (Hell, they even made table tennis seem interesting..)
