The Club interview for PS3

As we wait for the launch of the forthcoming shooter The Club, due out in February, we've been talking to Darren Williams, the global brand manager for the game, to get some inside info and find out more about what we can expect. As you might know, The Club finds you on a recreational manhunt, tracking and killing other members of the lethal Club. At its most basic, The Club is a third-person shooter, but there's much more to it than that, as you'll have to be quick off the mark too to keep your score high. The Club interview for PS3

James Woodcock is invited to join The Club in which Darren Williams; Global Brand Manager takes us through the initiation process.

What is The Club?
Well in basic terms, it is a third person shooter game, but as we will discuss no doubt, there is a lot more to it than just those facts there.

What is the storyline?
If I say blood sport, it sounds a little bit harsher than the actual game is, but in effect it is a human blood sport. The Club is obviously a fictitious entity, but our back story purports that there has been for centuries a secretive network of people who are at the top of their professions, who have a lot of time, a lot of money and who has its roots in a bare knuckle boxing fraternity. As the centuries rumbled on, their taste got a little bit harder and merely watching men fighting each other wasn't enough, so it became a human hunting game.

Very desperate criminals, were fighting each other for money and over time this has progressed and become increasingly dangerous up to the lethal gun based blood sport that we represent within our game.
