Little Big Planet preview for PS3

We're very excited by Little Big Planet, which we've had a first look at in this new issue of P3Zine. It's one of the most creative and original ideas in gaming for a long time and is set to be a huge PS3 hit when it debuts early next year. As well as playing through the levels yourself, you can create new ones either alone or with your friends and share them via PSN. Little Big Planet preview for PS3

To most, Christmas is a time of giving - a time to share with your family, and to put smiles on people's faces, by giving them a gift no one else would ever have thought of giving. And of course, after you've given your presents away, received some yourself, and stuffed yourself full of turkey till you're about to explode, the chances are you'll sit down with your newfound presents, and have a little play.

If you think about it metaphorically, Christmas shares a lot with Little Big Planet. A game which lets you make your own levels, and then share them with people around the world, Little Big Planet has set our pulses racing with its unique breed of creativity, and warmed our hearts with the romantic notion of sharing your creations. Put like that, it's a bit like Christmas in a box, just on your PS3, for 365 days a year. And that thought has us excited.

The beauty of Little Big Planet is in its simplicity, and as such, the gameplay is best described with just three words - Play, Create, and Share. While playing through the game yourself is certain to be great fun, this means that creating, and sharing levels with other people is two-thirds of the experience.
