EA Gothenburg confirms work on new Need for Speed

Job listings reveal all.EA 300x145 EA Gothenburg confirms work on new Need for Speed

EA Gothenburg has confirmed via its job page that it is working on a future installment of Need for Speed.

The blurb accompanying its job listings page confirms rumours that the Swedish team is hard at work on an upcoming Need for Speed title built in the Frostbite 2 engine.

“Would you like to be a part of EA? Would you like to work on a game in the Need for Speed franchise? You now have the opportunity to become a part of EA Gothenburg and fulfill those two wishes!,” reads EA Gothenburg’s job page.

EA Gothenburg’s unannounced Need for Speed title has yet to be confirmed by EA although an online CV from one of the studio’s employees spotted by Videogamer earlier this year revealed that he was “working on the best racing franchise ever – Need for Speed.”

We suspect this could well be 2013′s Need for Speed title in place to allow Criterion a brief breather after Most Wanted.

Very exiting news, hope they make the best of it! Not like EA Blackbox did with Need For Speed; Prostreet, Undercover & The Run, those games where terrible if you ask me!
